Of course, the Bronco boasts some impressive performance when heading off-road, but since a majority of your driving is done on the pavement commuting around town, and not over sand dunes and up rocky hills, we figured it is best to see how these vehicles perform on a day-to-day basis.

With its standard front-wheel drive (FWD), independent suspension, and 8-speed automatic transmission, the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport gives you a smooth, efficient ride as you cruise the highways or just navigate around town. It does have an available all-wheel drive (AWD) system, too, if you’d like the added traction this will provide when the roads become slick.

The Ford Bronco only comes with a 4×4 system, as well as its basic standard-duty suspension system. This does offer great traction on the trails, but on the paved streets it offers a more jagged, stiffer driving experience. It also comes standard with a 7-speed manual transmission, which again is good for climbing over obstacles when off-roading, but doesn’t give you the same smooth driving feel you’ll have in the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport.

When you have a car full of passengers, though, there will not only be more room for everyone to enjoy a comfortable ride inside the VW Atlas Cross Sport, but also more cargo space in the back. That is because its cabin has 112 cubic feet of passenger volume and 40.3 cubic feet of cargo volume behind its second row of seats.

The Ford Bronco has up to 108.2 cubic feet of passenger volume and only a maximum of 35.6 cubic feet of cargo volume behind its second row.

The Bronco does come with its own pre-collision assistive system, but it doesn’t come standard with all the features found in the VW Atlas Cross Sport, or have the same available systems to help make parking easier for you.
