Volkswagen Emissions
On Friday, the EPA announced that Volkswagen had cheated on the emissions control systems on 500,000 2.0 TDI vehicles sold in the US since 2009. The Port Charlotte Volkswagen family was and is shocked by the news. We have been recommending diesel VW to friends and families and are embarrassed to learn of Volkswagen actions. As the general manager of a Volkswagen dealership, we employ many people whose livelihoods and families depend on the success of Volkswagen as a company. While we are hurt by these events, we continue to believe in the VW brand and believe they will do the right thing to correct this problem quickly.

Your cars are SAFE TO DRIVE and no immediate action needs to be taken by owners. When a recall is announced by Volkswagen, owners will be notified and we will gladly perform the service on the cars.
